With 27 years as an elementary school teacher and curriculum developer under his belt, Dan brings an invaluable skillset to every photo session. “I love family sessions, especially extended family sessions,” Dan shares. “There’s something magical about capturing the relationships between grandparents and grandchildren, siblings, cousins… all those meaningful interactions that tell the real story of a family.”
Dan’s rapport with children isn’t just professional either. As a father of two sons and husband to Kim Angelo, the owner of Photography by Kim Angelo, he understands family life from the inside out. This perspective helps him anticipate the sweet moments before they happen and recognize the authentic expressions that others might miss.
Each year, Dan takes his connection with children to a whole new level when he transforms into Santa Claus for our holiday photo shoots. It’s become a beloved tradition, and watching him bring joy to children’s faces while capturing their wonder is a reminder of why he does what he does.
